Terme S’anzu
Terme S’Anzu (often referred to as Su Anzu ’e Sos Nervios) are free, open-air hot-spring pools in the San Saturnino thermal area, in the countryside between Benetutti and Bultei, near the confluence of the Rio Mannu and the Tirso.
The wider district is historically linked to the Roman thermal site known as Aquae Lesitanae, and today it still offers a wild, nature-immersed soak in simple stone basins.
Using your material: at San Saturnino, the springs are located south of Benetutti and include 9 outlets with a combined discharge of about 4 L/s, emerging mainly from fractured granite (and, more rarely, Tertiary ignimbrites along the eastern edge of the Benetutti graben). A more recent ~70 m well drilled for the on-site spa intercepted artesian hot water adding about 6 L/s, bringing the total available flow to ~10 L/s. Maximum temperatures vary by spring, but are mostly around 38–43°C (so always test the water before soaking).
